The IK Multimedia AmpliTube Metal Software Plug-In Bundle is a collection of Heavy Metal guitar software plug-ins consisting of 14 guitar stompbox effects, 5 amplifier heads, 13 cabinets, 6 microphones, 9 rack FX, and room position modeling controls. The collection utilizes Dynamic Saturation Modeling and Volumetric Response Modeling to emulate the real world sound of recording Metal in a studio. Using an Internet connection and the included AmpliTube Custom shop, you can download new emulation models to your rig from manufacturers such as Soldano, Orange, Jet City, Fender, T-Rex, Ampeg, Seymour Duncan, and more.

For fine tuning your sound, you can lay out your signal chain of tuner, pedal board, amp head, cabinet, microphones, microphone position, room, and post effects in nearly unlimited combinations. For performance, you can use the software in standalone mode with instant switching between presets using the integrated preset browser. You can even post and share user created presets online using the software's Preset XChange service.

For practice, the standalone software includes a SpeedTrainer that allows you to import tracks in Wav, Aiff, sd2, Apple Caf, Flac, or MP3 formats and then speed the tracks up or slow them down without affecting pitch so that you can learn to play your favorite songs and solos. For composing, the software includes a 4-track recorder for laying down riffs and ideas for songs. BPM synchronization and DAW automation allows you to seamlessly integrate the software into your production workflow.
