Having been born and raised in Kandahar as Pashton; being married to a Tajik of Kabul for more than 32 years; and, most importantly, having lived in America for more than 36 years-all have given me the experience and knowledge of not only understanding - as my native people will tell you, "You must be a native Afghan to understand the Afghans."- but to tell it like it really is so the world can understand my native people who have, and continue to be, grossly misunderstood and victimized for centuries.
